Ken Ball admits to being inspired by the legacy of impressionist masters such as Cezanne, Monet and Pissaro. Of his 2006 retrospective exhibition, the art gallery Director wrote: “Ken’s current work trades the hard-edged realism of his early career in photojournalism for the softer, more ethereal qualities of his recent forays into fine art photography”.

The galleries on this website clearly show his success with art photography, a topics he lectures on regularly in Australia and New Zealand. Ken has published fifteen books in the last fifteen years on impressionist photography and alternative printing techniques.
